Depose All Senior MUSIGA Executives, Their Ideas Are Outmoded – Michy

TV host/Brand influencer, Michy has sounded her fusses about the persistent state of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).

Michy who doubles as a songstress, expressed that the day-to-day administration of the union should not be left to elderly fellows and old women but rather it should be assigned to young innovative people who have the exuberance to run the organization.

According to the ‘Hustle’ hitmaker, “Old people can’t lead the present generation because they are too old and don’t understand the needs of today’s music, which is dominated by young people” she added.

In her opinion, older individuals would wish to carry out initiatives that were taken in the past but may not be important now, making them incapable to oversee the Union.

She made these remarks during an interview she granted on the show “Ultimate Entertainment Records” on Kumasi-based radio station, Ultimate 106.9 FM.

MUSIGA was founded with the objective of enlightening Ghanaian musicians and empowering them to be independent, imaginative, and see to the welfare of creatives.

But for decades, the union keeps struggling with lacunas in administration coupled with incessant legal battles among respective members.
