Eazy-E‘s daughter, Henree Cherron Wright, recently welcomed a newborn boy into the family on what would’ve been the N.W.A. and Ruthless Records founder’s 60th birthday.
On Saturday (Sept. 7), Henree, who also performs under the stage name ReeMarkable, announced her son’s arrival with an Instagram post. Sharing a photo of the newborn’s arms and hands, the latter bearing a hospital band with her own name and date of birth, Henree paid tribute to her late father.
“Happy birthday Daddy,” the 30-year-old wrote in the post’s caption, declaring that Eazy’s grandson’s birth is symbolic of a birthday present for the West Coast icon.
The rapper also acknowledged her husband for helping her conceive their child and for being her life partner. “@derrtymillionz we did it. My soul mate,” she added. “We owe each other the world and we gone continue to give it to each other. I love you husband I thank you for this gift this blessing. You the one fr.”
Wright continued to celebrate her son’s arrival, revealing that he was delivered after just “six pushes” and that his birth was “all natural.” “Baby is here y’all!!!” the Cali native shared. “I wasn’t gone post but this was needed to be said,” she concluded, sending “rest in peace” shoutouts to her father and other loved ones.
A native of Compton, Ca., Eazy-E made history when he helped form N.W.A. during the latter half of the ’80s and susbequently launched Ruthless Records, one of the most successful entities in Hip-Hop at the time.
Releasing two platinum certified studio albums alongside N.W.A., as well as successful solo albums such as Eazy-Duz-It and Str8 off tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton, the pioneering mogul is considered a cultural pillar and among the first rapper/CEOs in history.
Eazy-E passed away in March 1995 from AIDS-induced pneumonia, leaving behind wife Tomico Woods Wright and 11 children, including Eazy’s son, Lil Eazy-E, and daughter Ebie.
