Ghanaian Crafty disc jockey, DJ Bridash of Hitz Fm, has chronicled how he was badly duped out of over Ghc 16,000 whilst endeavouring to rent an apartment in Accra.

DJ Bridash went apartment prospect on Jiji, an App designed for marketing goods and services. He found an apartment going for Ghc 1,500 a month and called to check it out.

He later arranged and met the agent as well as the supposed landlord and made payment for Ghc 16,600. He received the keys to the apartment and was supposed to meet them the next day for the tenancy agreement form.

However, he received a call from them the next morning asking for Ghc 1,500 to fix the air conditioners, which he also paid.

He realized that the whole thing turned up to be a hoax. DJ Bridash has since then made a report to the Police which he shared on social media.

“A little piece of Advice to all those looking for apartments and rooms to rent online. Please be very careful when dealing with these people. This happened to me just last week Monday. Am very depressed Rough… Rough.” he typed and posted.
