2Pac Receives His Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Deceased super talented Hollywood entertainer, Tupac Amaru Shakur has finally received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The event came off June, 7,it was held in tribute to the late icon signing onto the growing list of Versatile rap artists to receive a Hollywood star. The ceremony was hosted by Big Boy, and Tupacโ€™s sister, Sekyiwa โ€œSetโ€ Shakur, accepted the star on his behalf. The event also featured speeches from Tupacโ€™s godfather Jamal Joseph and the director of the recent Dear Mama docuseries, Allen Hughes.

Tupacโ€™s star lives at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, joining stars for Missy Elliot, Nipsey Hussle, DJ Khaled, and more. Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ana Martinez shared an announcement with LA Times about the star. โ€œTupac Shakur was a rapper, actor, activist, poet, and revolutionary,โ€ Martinez expressed. She proceeded , expatiating, โ€œThis iconic artist has continued to be part of the zeitgeist for decades after his passing and will continue to be an important cultural figure for many years to come. Surely, as one of L.A.โ€™s own, Tupacโ€™s star will be added to the list of most visited stars.โ€

However, when news broke that 2Pac was about to be honoured with the Hollywood star of fame, various artists took to social media to share their thoughts on Tupac yet to receive his Hollywood star. โ€œIt took them 25 years + to give Tupac a star on Hollywood Blvd?โ€ YG asked last week, โ€œYโ€™all got him f****ed all the way up.โ€ Boosie Badazz also chimed in, writing, โ€œTupac ainโ€™t ON THE HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME?โ€ He also said, โ€œWTF THE DISRESPECT,โ€ adding, โ€œDonโ€™t worry he saying F**K YALL from the Grave.โ€

Meanwhile, Tupacโ€™s biological father, Billy Garland, opened up about his emotions on Hughesโ€™ recent Dear Mama docuseries. โ€œWe did an interview for about two hours,โ€ he disclosed. He also proceeded to mention, โ€œAfter I saw the interview in the documentary, I was slightly disappointed, letโ€™s just say that. I didnโ€™t like it. It was more about something else, than about 2Pac, if you know what Iโ€™m saying. If I knew it was about Dear Mama, I mightโ€™ve still did it, but I probably wouldnโ€™t have. Not for nothing.โ€
