The Ghanaian entertainment space woke up to the sudden demise of Cynthia Quarcoo Esq., a prominent counsellor who worked with some of the bigwigs in the showbiz spectrum.
Quarcoo, who was also the architect of Africa 1 Media, a talent management and public relations outfit, passed away on June 21, 2023, after a long ailment.
She was birthed in Accra, Ghana, in 1970. She read law at the University of Ghana and proceeded to work as an attorney in private practice.
However, in 2005, she established CQ Legal, a reputable law firm that focuses on entertainment, sports, and media Law.
Quarcoo was an approvingly reputable attorney who represented several high-profile clients, including Rapper Sarkodie, Rocky Dawuni, Stonebwoy, Edem, Stephanie Benson, Reggie Rockstone, Bisa Kdei, and Samini.
She was also the legal advisor to the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).
In addition to her career in the entertainment terrain, the deceased renowned attorney also served as co-counsel for the Ministry of Finance on the successful 2021 and 2020 USD 3 billion Government of Ghana (GOG) Sovereign Bonds.
Undoubtedly, Quarcooโs demise is a huge loss to the Ghanaian entertainment enterprise and the legal profession. She was a thoughtful lawyer and a dutiful advocate for her clients. This beautiful soul is greatly irreplaceable.
