Beyoncé‘s mother Tina Knowles’ home has become the latest celebrity crib to be burglarized.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department has launched an investigation after thieves stole a vault containing millions of dollars worth of cash and jewelry from the mother of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles.
The incident occurred at the fashion designer’s Hollywood estate around 10:30 a.m. on July 5, and was reported by “someone from [her] camp” — though it is confirmed that Knowles herself was not on the premises.
This isn’t the first time Knowles’ house has been targeted. In April, a man was arrested after allegedly throwing rocks at her mailbox. Despite minor damage to her property, no one was hurt and she declined to press charges.
Knowles joins the likes of Snowfall star Damson Idris, who just last month found himself in an equally tricky predicament when he too found himself the unfortunate victim of a robbery.
According to TMZ, on Monday (July 10) authorities confirmed that Idris’ home was broken into and the robbers took off with his safe.
However, the perpetrators came up short when it was reported they only made off with $500 worth of unspecified items.
The break-in, which is still under investigation, notes the cost to repair the damages to Idris’ home far outweighs the amount they took — about $2000 in repairs.
