Drake Is The New Owner Of 2Pac’s 14k Gold Crown Ring Actioned & Sold Over $1M

Drake is the proud owner of a charming piece of 2Pac jewellery that was just sold some days ago for over $1 million at a Sothebyโ€™s auction.

Earlier this week, the gold, ruby, and diamond-encrusted ring, which โ€˜Pac wore during his last public appearance at the1996 VMAs, sold for $1,016,000.

On Friday, Drake hopped on Instagram to disclose heโ€™s the one who made the hefty acquisition. In a post on his Instagram Story to advertise Travis Scottโ€™s new album Utopia, Drake disseminated a close-up photo of the ring on his finger.

In the meantime, it seems that Drizzy references his recent jewellery purchase in his guest verse on Utopia cut โ€œMeltdown,โ€ in which he raps โ€œI pull out a million to stare at this shit.โ€

Drake will have a tough time topping his latest purchase, as โ€˜Pacโ€™s self-designed ring is already deemed the most valuable hip-hop artefact ever sold at an auction.

The 14-karat yellow gold ring โ€œsits atop a diamond-encrusted gold band is the โ€˜crownโ€™ itself: a gold circlet studded with the three largest jewels in the entire pieceโ€”a central cabochon ruby, flanked by two pavรฉ-cut diamonds,โ€ Sotheby described on its website.

โ€œThis one-of-a-kind, custom ring was meticulously designed by Pac and is among the final products of his boundless creative energy โ€” a unique artefact from a period of time that is a testament to his enduring influence on hip-hop,โ€ Cassandra Hatton, Sothebyโ€™s Global Head of Science and Popular Culture, summed up.
