‘I Was Hurt, But She’ll Always Be My Baby’ – Iyanya On ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’

Nigerian songster Iyanya who is presently in Ghana publicizing his new Ep, Love and Trust, has divulged that his affinity with movie star and writer, Yvonne Nelson will continually endure irrespective of their past fallout.

Appearing on Accra-based channel TV3’s weekend entertainment programme, Showbiz 360 with host Giovanni Caleb, the famous Nigerian performer implied that though the memoir, โ€˜I am not Yvonne Nelsonโ€™ hurt him, he still had a mild spot for the movie producer.

โ€œI was hurt and I told her. Sheโ€™ll always be my baby. She is a sweet girl regardless of all the madness,โ€ he remarked.

He counted that, โ€œEverybody in here has been through one but itโ€™s just because we are famous people. Weโ€™re going to go crazy sometimes but weโ€™re cool.โ€

The โ€˜Your Waistโ€™ crooner also used the opportunity on the show to publicize the release of his new EP which have other seasoned guests appearance.

โ€ I just dropped my EP. Itโ€™s called Love and Trust. Iโ€™m promoting that here and Iโ€™ve been to a few TV and radio stations.  I have 6 songs on there. One of the songs is called Breakfast. Thereโ€™s Allowed, Love and Trust featuring Joeboy, Woman: to all the ladies in the world and Plans because Iโ€™ve got big for you guys,โ€ he disclosed.

When quizzed about why there were no Ghanaian acts on his album, Iyanya mentioned that the last one he released had a Ghanaian on it.

โ€œSo before this EP, I dropped another EP. I have Kwame Eugene on that one. Itโ€™s called Sweet Argentina. It is a beautiful song. You should check it out. We intend to shoot the video in a few weeks,โ€ he clarified.
