Decorated Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo better known in showbiz as Sarkodie has opined about setbacks confronting the countryโs music royalty system.
The ” Adonai” hitmaker thinks the rolling out of a well-organized system is paramount in ensuring creatives get their rightful earnings.
Sarkodie made these remarks during a panel discussion at the 3i Africa Summit Partners and Stakeholders Mixer came off in Accra on March 7.
Quoting his exact submissions, โThe royalty system has been a major issue here in GhanaโฆBut fixing it wouldnโt be that difficult. We just need to set up a proper system and collect the money thatโs owed,โ he stated.
The panel concentated on exploring the convergence of the Creative Industry, Policy, and Fintech.
Other prominent industry figures from joined Sarkodie’s bandwagon on the panel, including Ace Radio host, Kofi Okyere Darko, Chief Moomen, and National Film Authority CEO, Madam Juliet Asante.
