Travis Scott is a named suspect in a physical assault in New York. Scott allegedly caused physical harm along with $12K in equipment damages.

The “Sicko Mode” artist is a suspect in an assault charge in New York for allegedly punching an unidentified man in the face. Scott reportedly caused $12K in damages to equipment such as speakers and the video screen.

Police will review footage of the alleged assault to see what led up to the situation before the public gets access to it. Travis Scott’s legal representative Ted Anastasiou explained that Scott was at the venue for a surprise DJ set at the Nebula venue.

Meanwhile, another member of Scott’s legal team attorney Mitchell Schuster also cleared the air, saying it was a “misunderstanding.”

“While this is clearly a misunderstanding being blown out of proportion by clickbait and misinformation, Schuster said. “We are actively working with the venue and law enforcement to resolve and set the record straight. We are confident our client will be clear of any wrongdoing.”

As of now, there weren’t details on what started the argument between Scott and the unidentified man.

In addition, it isn’t clear how this will affect the “Goosebumps” artist’s upcoming performance at Rolling Loud LA, which he is slated to headline on March 4th.

The assault occurred at a live show event where the rapper was brought out to perform by Don Toliver, an artist from his label Cactus Jack Records.

Before this incident, Scott had a decent run of positive headlines since the tragic AstroWorld event. Recently, the rapper helped teachers and gave back $1M to HBCU students.
