Black Sherif Clinches BET ’23 International Flow Act Plaque

Ghanaian music fireball Black Sherif, government name Mohammed Ismail Sherif has been adjudged the winner of the Best International Flow category award at the just-ended 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards.

The young rising songster beat other greats from around the world including deceased rapper AKA (South Africa), Central Cee (UK), Gazo (France), J Hus (UK), K.O (South Africa), Major RD (Brazil), Ninho (France), Sampa The Great (Zambia) and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).

Recorded live from Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA, on Tuesday, October 3, the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards will be televised on October 10, 2023.

This yearโ€™s edition nomination denoted the second time Blacko had been nominated in the category.

Historical Antecedent

In 2022, Black Sherif was first nominated in the Best International Flow Category at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards but lost the plaque to France’s Benjamin EPPS.

The Konongo Zongo star is the second Ghanaian artist to win the prestigious category.

Recall in 2019, rapper Sarkodie also made headlines as he bagged the newly created category Best International Flow.

The BET Hip Hop Awards also saw electrifying stage performances by renowned talents such as Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Bow Wow, and Ludacris, along with many others.
