Cam’ron & Ma$e Are Disputing The Superiority of 2PAC & DMX As Emcees

By Edem Latsu Nukafu

Rapper Cam’ron and Ma$e both hold the belief that DMX was a superior rapper to 2Pac.

X and ‘Pac were compared during a discussion on Gillie Da Kid and Wallo’s Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.

Camโ€™ron, who partnered and toured with the one-time buddy, offered his view first, uttering: โ€œMe personally? I seen DMX. I didnโ€™t really get to see 2Pac. Iโ€™m talking about on tour with DMX, in the studio with DMX. I actually got to see n-ggas lose their mind about DMX.

โ€œI know n-ggas love 2Pac, but I didnโ€™t get to see him on tour or do anything else. So for me, itโ€™s DMX because I actually got to be a part of and see him from the tournament rapping to selling 10, 20 million or however many millions of records he sold.โ€

Ma$e, who also jumped on a songs with DMX  such as โ€œ24 Hrs. to Liveโ€ and โ€œTake Whatโ€™s Yours,โ€ echoed Camโ€™ronโ€™s sentiments: โ€œI would definitely have to say DMX because when you saw the energy he poured, that DMX gave n-ggas, you could just stop one lyric that he would be saying and the whole arena would say it.

โ€œI think a lot of times, because you learn the flaws of a n-gga, you forget how great n-ggas really were. Like DMX was one of those special, special talents.โ€

He counted: โ€œWhen I first heard DMX in the studio, I was like, โ€˜This n-gga is just different.โ€™ โ€˜Pac was phenomenal too, I canโ€™t take nothing away from โ€˜Pac, but DMX had more than Pac. Iโ€™ma go on the record and say he had more than โ€˜Pac.โ€
