‘He Was Honest’ – Faith Evans Spoke Of Biggie

Adorable Faith Evans paid homage to The Notorious B.I.G. as being “honest.” Evans was quizzed about her deceased honey bug during a recent chat with the Marriage or Mirage podcast. The hosts questioned her what she adored about the Brooklyn rapper the most, to which Faith talked of his sincerity.

“Everything. I loved everything about him. He was honest. You understand? One thing about him, even at that young age — honest,” she said, glowing with joy. “Yo, I respect it. I can’t take anything else. B.I.G. is the ni**a like, I [asked him], ‘Did you f**k her?’ He’d be like, ‘Yeah.’ And I’ll be like (visibly taken aback).”

She counted, “Honest as f**k. Most of the time, I didn’t know what was going on, but when I did, I asked him, and he told [me] the truth. And then I’d be like, ‘You know I’m a f**k her up, right?’”

Affectionately called Frank White and Faith came across each other at a Bad Boy Records photoshoot in 1994. The pair quickly hit it off and tied the knot after figuring out each other for a week. Faith Evans and The Notorious B.I.G. had one child, Christopher Jordan Wallace Jr. — who was born in 1996. However, their relationship wasn’t always the most pure. B.I.G.’s adultery afflicted the couple’s marriage, as he often was adulterous with Lil’ Kim and Charli Baltimore.

Biggie met Charli, a Philadelphia model/aspiring rapper, at a party in 1995. B.I.G purportedly fell in love with Baltimore, and Faith soon discovered it. During a radio interview at the time, Evans infamously described Baltimore as the “Illy from Philly.”

We recall in a 1997 VIBE interview that the then Bad Boy Entertainment signee delivered perspicuity into the love triangle. He urged that he would always be pals with her and could presumably “get back together” in a decade.

“People was like, ‘When she stopped f**kin’ with B.I.G., she started f**kin’ with Tupac, and B.I.G. started f**kin’ with Lil’ Kim.’ That’s the summary of the Biggie Smalls/Faith sh*t right there. But we weren’t f**kin’ with each other way before the rumours popped off.”

“I married her after knowing her eight days, and I was happy,” he recalled. “That was my baby. At the same time, with us being so spontaneous, we did it backwards. Maybe she won’t admit it, but I will. We should have got to know each other and then got married. The relationship kind of dissolved, but we’re still going to be friends. I love her. We have a baby together, and we’re always gonna love our kids. Who knows? Ten years from now we might even get back together.”

Yet, Biggie Smalls was shot in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997, at the age of 24.
