Legendary Ghanaian Highlife thespian/Politician, Rex Owusu Marfo known in the entertainment industry as Rex Omar has opined about those teasing and mocking Afro-Dancehall songster Stonebwoy for not getting a nomination at the 66th Grammy Awards.

He indicated that, “Just imagine that no matter how hard Stonebwoy is working and because he wasn’t nominated for the Grammy Awards some Ghanaians are trolling him.

“That’s what this country is and when these things happen as a human, we make the artiste become so discouraged and disappointed”.

These remarks were made by the former member of the NAKOREX trio during an interview he gave to Amansan Krakye on Property FM, a radio station located in Cape Coast, in the Central region. The former GHAMRO boss uttered that it’s out of ignorance and jealousy that’s making some sections of Ghanaians trolling Stonebwoy.

He proceeded and added that, “If for nothing at all Stonebwoy has performed on a lot of international platforms and at the end of the day we will say Stonebwoy is the Ghanaian artiste.

“That is what people must understand that when the artiste becomes popular globally they are marketing the country,” he submitted as djblackgh.com monitored.

“So if you’re a Ghanaian and because of ignorance and jealousy you decide to troll Stonebwoy, then who are you trolling? You’re trolling yourself and the country”, he emphasized.

Meanwhile, Stonebwoy has been given credit for co-writing and collaborating on a song on Beenie Man’s SIMMA album, ” Zimm ” featuring Backroad Gee & Stonebwoy, which is up for Best Reggae Album nomination at next year’s award event.
