The power couple has kept their son’s name an unknown for nearly a year – but as he moves toward his first birthday, his alleged Wu-Tang Clan-inspired name has been disclosed.
According to sources, they got their hands on the baby’s birth certificate on Wednesday, May 10, disclosing his name to be RZA Athelston Mayers. It also enunciates he was born May 13 at 10:58 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
However, being named after legendary Hip Hop emcees runs in the family, as Rocky previously disclosed he was named after the rapper Rakim.
Rihanna and Rocky’s family will shortly grow to allow entrance to one more. While a due date hasn’t been disclosed, the Diamond superstar was sporting a substantial bump when she performed at the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show in February – which would mean she was already a few months along.
In a current dialogue with British Vogue for her cover story, Rihanna fanned out about her experiences with early motherhood.
“Oh my God, it’s legendary,” she said of her first nine months as a mother. “It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever
.
Ms Fenty proceeded and added: “You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far because… because it doesn’t matter.”
She also touched on her relationship with Rocky. “We’re best friends with a baby,” Rih uttered. “We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
“I’m just sitting on the sidelines when they’re together,” she counted on Rocky’s adjustment to fatherhood. “I’m literally the girl trying to get into the boys club, waiting for my turn. He is obsessed with his father. And I’m like: ‘Didn’t I give birth to you? What is going on?’
“Their connection is undeniable. The second Rocky makes eye contact with him he is on fire. The whole thing they say about sons and moms, it’s a myth. Sons and fathers are crazy. I realized that the validation that you need as a boy is from your father.”
Meanwhile, our sources have reached out to representatives for both Rihanna and A$AP Rocky for confirmation on baby RZA’s name.
